Breast cancer survivors will take to the catwalk for an annual ladies-only fashion fundraiser, which this year moves to Trowbridge. The event, in aid of Breast Cancer Care, is being organised by Wayne Palmer, who carried the Olympic Flame through the town last year It will feature the latest collections from New Look, Debenhams, the Bridal Lounge and Asda.

The event, launched in 2006, was previously held in Melksham on two nights, but this year will move to Trowbridge Civic Centre and is over three nights, from March 21-23.

Host Mr Palmer, 41, said: “This year the fashion show will include models who are survivors of breast cancer.

“These women prove to us all that with spirit and determination we can beat this disease that affects so many of us, whether on a very personal way or through a family member or friend.”

Mr Palmer said tickets for Friday and Saturday had already sold out, but some are available for Thursday.

Food and drink will be served by scantily-clad men, who will be table hosts. They will be joined by a number of other volunteers helping to put on the fundraiser.

Mr Palmer said: “We are so grateful to everyone who gets involved in this amazing event and it is testament to the success of previous years that this year we have had to add another night to accommodate everyone. “A special thanks goes to all the local companies and individuals that have sponsored this event.”
