Wiltshire College students got creative for an avant garde-themed competition on Tuesday.

The 26 level three hairdressing students spent four weeks planning eye-catching designs for their hair, make-up and outfits producing mood boards to explain the inspiration behind their look.

The competition takes place annually across Wiltshire College’s campuses in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Salisbury, with each given different themes.

The winners of the black and white-themed Trowbridge leg of the competition will be announced soon.

They will then go through to a grand final, which will include victors from Chippenham and Salisbury campuses, in April.

“All the students have worked incredibly hard,” said Wiltshire College spokesman Trudi Hodges.

“One group of students also held a catwalk show in the Arc Theatre, where they were very proud to show their work to family, friends and college staff.”
