A DRUG dealer was caught with a child sex abuse film stored on a memory stick and hundreds of images extreme pornography when police raided his home.
But after hearing Lewis Brown was still a teenager who was looking at the material ‘out of curiosity’ a judge at Swindon Crown Court imposed a suspended jail term.
Police raided Brown’s home in April 2011 in a drug search and were startled to see on his computer that he had searched for extreme pornography.
Claire Marlow, prosecuting, said officers seized the machine and a memory stick and on the storage device found two films. Miss Marlow told the court a further 139 images of extreme porn were found on the computer.
Brown, now 20, of Upham Road, Old Walcot, pleaded guilty to making an indecent image of a child in 2010 and two counts of possessing extreme porn in 2010 and 2011. The court heard he was currently on a suspended sentence for possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
Judge Euan Ambrose imposed a six-month jail term suspended for two years. Brown was put under supervision and told to do 100 hours of unpaid work, was made subject of a sexual offences prevention order for five years restric-ting internet use and has to register as a sex offender.
