Patients who underwent day surgery at Salisbury District Hospital have rated the staff and quality of service highly.

In a survey the hospital asked patients their views on the facilities, waiting times, quality of care and how they were treated.

Ninety per cent of patients who responded said they had confidence and trust in the medical staff, they were treated with respect and dignity, and toilets and clinical areas were clean.

Hospital chief executive Peter Hill said: “The results are excellent and highlight the outstanding contribution our staff make to patients’ experiences in this part of the hospital.

“We will look carefully at every comment to see if there are any changes we could make to further improve the service.”
