EMPLOYEES from the RCUK Shared Services Centre in Swindon will be among a host of swimmers taking part in a charity swim this weekend.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Swindon North at the Next Generation Sports and Fitness Centre in Kembrey Park on Saturday, will see several charities benefiting from the swim, including Prospect Hospice and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Heather Large, executive assistant to the chief information officer, RCUK Shared Services Centre Ltd, said: “This is an event which is open to swimmers of all abilities from established swimmers to absolute beginners.
“These events are brilliant because they will allow everyone the opportunity to make their own contribution at their own pace. As an organisation in which we encourage our employees to serve our community, I am delighted we are able to help.” Recently, RCUK Shared Services Centre announced that its employees had collectively given 1,000 hours of service support to charities, raising substantial funds for them.
