Members of Calne Diving Club have found a new home for their 21ft motor boat following an appeal in the Gazette and Herald.
Offers of help from readers with spare space to store the boat flooded in after an article was published two weeks ago. The group, which trains at Calne Leisure Centre, helps members to achieve the CMAS, a globally recognised diving qualification.
They also use a rib inflatable motor boat during trips to the south coast to visit submarine and Second World War wrecks.
This has been stored at a farm in Lyneham for more than a year, but the location made it difficult to take back and forth to diving sessions.
Now the club has found a new home for the boat at Beversbrook Sports Facility.
Open water instructor and club chairman John Dodsworth said he was delighted by the response and thank everyone who contacted him.
He said: “Beversbrook will have it covered by CCTV at all times, which is a massive improvement.
“We had a lot of other offers, so many I wasn’t able to get back to everyone.
“We had offers of driveways, paddocks and various other options.”
