Drinking and driving do not mix, but a classic car’s potential buyer could enjoy a tipple in the back seat.

A 1950s Bentley Mk VI, complete with built-in drinks decanters, will be auctioned at Castle Combe race circuit on Saturday. It is part of a two-day sale of cars and bikes, with automobilia going under the hammer tomorrow.

The Bentley was one of the last to have this type of coachwork. It features two pockets in the doors containing decanters – one side is for brandy and the other for whiskey.

Auctioneer Richard Edmonds said: “There are also drop down tables in the back. The interior is full leather. We have estimated it at £40,000 to £50,000.”

Another highlight is a 1958 Jaguar XK150 with its original tyres.
