Malmesbury School student Christian Nickson has won a national competition to produce a promotional video for an internationally renowned author’s new book.
Entrants were asked to create a video for the Zom-B series, by Darren Shan, to launch around the publication of the third installment, Zom-B City.
The sixth form student entered the competition, organised by publishers Simon & Schuster, earlier this year.
Christian, from Minety, said: “I was amazed when I heard I won. Darren Shan is one of my favourite authors and the first two books in this series are brilliant.”
The teenager is studying maths, geography, psychology and film studies at the school, and plans to study film at university. He made his video with friends, using the school as the setting.
Along with his film being used to promote Zom-B City, Christian will also receive a third generation iPad and a signed copy of the book.
