A Walwayne Court Primary School pupil got lyrical when his anti-smoking rap was picked to be performed in an assembly.
Year 6 pupil, Ethan Bush, 11, wrote the piece after studying the Beatles and how their music reflected post-war Britain.
While studying modern issues, Ethan decided to consider the dangers of smoking and performed his rap with a group of friends in front of the entire school, with his proud parents and staff watching.
His teacher, David Rich, said: “We are all very proud of Ethan. It was brilliant to see the parents relating to his work and enjoying it.
“He is doing really well in his studies and his rap was highly praised by the school.
“We’ve put his lyrics on the wall as a celebration of his brilliant writing ability.”
