The Wiltshire Islamic Cultural Centre has moved to a new premises in Trowbridge and wants to connect with the town’s wider community.
The group, formed in 2008, was based at Bridge House, but has moved to Willowside Park, Canal Road. The centre, which has a team of volunteers, runs youth clubs, gym facilities, mothers’ groups and other classes.
Chairman Shazuli Iqbal said: “The centre is a great model in Wiltshire, as it provides so much for people in Trowbridge and Staverton. We have a well-attended gym, have a snooker table, hold ladies’ gatherings and are very keen to welcome anyone from the local community to the centre.”
Mr Iqbal said the Wiltshire Islamic Cultural Centre also wanted to hear from more people who would be keen to volunteer and support the organisation.
Anyone wanting to volunteer, or find out more about the centre’s services, can call 0797 477629 or visit the centre website at www.wiltshire-icc.org.
