SWINDON & DISTRICT LEAGUE: Globe thrash Lower Stratton

AFC Globe recovered from a goal down to thump Lower Stratton 7-1 in the Swindon & District League Premier Division.
A superb free kick gave Stratton the lead bur Dwaine Quinn levelled with a superb diving header.
Nigel Baker then struck four times which included a stunning overhead volley. Lewis Hill also chipped in with a brace.
A Lewis Polden goal gave Swiss Chalet a 1-1 draw with DJC Marlborough. A hat-trick from Shane Close gave Queensfield a 3-0 win over Auto Engine Tune.
In Division One, Fox & Hound shared a 3-3 draw with Ferndale.
Lee Gratton bagged a brace and Adam Harman netted a free kick for Fox. Liam Ballard, Justin Hyde and Daniel Doole converted for Ferndale.
Old Town blew a 2-0 lead against Bassett Bulldogs to draw 2-2. Jake Johnson and Dean Davoile scored for Old Town before Mark Adams and Wayne Matthews replied.
Sportz Central were a goal down to Ramsbury but ran out 4-2 winners. Andrews and Martin got the Sportz goals.
Tap & Barrel crushed Chiseldon 5-1 thanks to goals from Gary Davis (2), Dave Toomey, Thomas Ritchie and Jonny Kerrigan.
Swindon Spitfires and Larry’s Plaice drew 3-3. Luke Burroughs, Phil Lagace and Barry Winslow scored for Spits while Simon Taylor, Nathan Moody and Steve Martin registered for Plaice.
