Takeout’s early hours opening bid

THE owners of fast food outlet Chicoland in Devizes have applied to open late permanently.
Mustafa and Sarah Eren were granted temporary permission to open the takeaway, in Sidmouth Street, into the early hours last March.
Late night opening is until 3am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and until midnight the rest of the week.
In the couple’s new planning application, agent Richard Cosker says: “This period has also allowed the applicant to consider whether the extended opening hours is beneficial to the business and the conclusion is that it has been.
“Having regard to the ‘success’ of the trial period – which has been both good for the business while also resulting in no known complaints about impact on residential amenity – then it is requested there is a permanent variation of the condition to allow the opening hours to be until 3am Thursday, Friday and Saturday and until midnight on the remaining nights of the week.”
