Lower Compton Bassett rubbish site plan deferred

Discussion of a planning application from Hills Waste Solutions, affecting the company’s site at Lower Compton Bassett, has been delayed.
The application was due to the discussed at a planning committee on Wednesday but now it could be several months before this happens.
Hills Waste has applied to extend its site at Lower Compton Bassett, where household waste is sorted.
Mike Webster, group director for Hills Waste Solutions said: “We have been working closely with the planning officers on this application and are satisfied with the reason as to why our application is not being heard at this time.”
But Wiltshire councillor Allan Hill said: “It’s very unreasonable that this matter is hanging over the heads of people in the area.”
