THE search is on for the next beauty queen to wear the Miss Swindon crown.
Organisers are appealing for girls aged 17 to 24-years-old to become the town’s next beauty queen, which could lead to a place in the final of Miss World.
The competition, which will be held in May, will also see the next Miss Wiltshire being crowned.
Rhona Shafik, Miss England heats organiser, said: “We are looking for contestants who are not only photogenic and attractive but also have good communication skills, confidence and charm.
“Winning the title of Miss Wiltshire or Miss Swindon will bring a host of new opportunities to the two winners, including representing this area in the next stage of the national competition.”
The winner of Miss Swindon will compete in the semi-final of Miss England next year.
The winner of Miss Wiltshire 2013 will win direct entry to the Miss England grand final in June.
Contestants must live, work or study in the Wiltshire area.
Miss Swindon 2012/13, Ela Good, a web developer of Royal Wootton Bassett, will take part in the 2013 semi-finals in Elstree on May 25.
Miss Wiltshire 2012, Ruth May Johnson, a mortgage advisor, narrowly missed out on the Miss England crown last year.
Open photo auditions will be held on March 17 at The Core, a juice bar & holistic centre opening soon in Devizes Road, Swindon.
Photos will be taken by fashion photographer, Kris Talikowski.
The successful finalists will take part in a show on May 19 at the De Vere Village Hotel, Swindon, in front of a panel of judges including Miss England 2012, who will choose the winners of the Miss Swindon and the Miss Wiltshire crowns.
