HIGHWORTH Town Juniors T wrapped up the Under 10 Division 3 title in style at the weekend with two impressive victories.

Man of the match Thomas Harris settled the away side’s nerves with two goals in the second half of their 2-0 victory over Stratton Juniors Orange, and the following day they made sure of the league title with a 4-1 win over Stratton Youth. Will Webster and Thomas Harris both scored braces to make sure of the crown, which was secured with a game to spare.

A confident goal from Jack Walklett and a Wootton Bassett owngoal forced by a great run by Ryan Austen gave three valuable points to Stratton Black, keeping them in the hunt for promotion.

In a game of two halves, Peter and Paul Amoni scored a goal each to take a 2-0 half time lead for Stratton, with Pewsey scoring twice in the second half to take a share of the points.

Under 9 Division 4

Substitute Finlay Greig scored his 20th goal of an impressive season as his hat-trick helped Swindon Rangers to a 3-0 victory over Marlborough. The scores were level at 0-0 when the striker was introduced following a string of missed chances, but Greig was in clinical form to shoot his side to victory.

Under 10 Division 1

Liden beat Hungerford Town 6-0 with all the goals coming in the first half. The home side took the lead after only five minutes through Tom Ponting, and it was quickly doubled as Sam Morsed struck to make it 2-0. Ponting missed a penalty, but did grab his second following a Tobias Lango goal which made the score 4-0. Sam Morse completed the scoring with a brace to wrap up the points before half-time.

Croft JFC Red came up against an inspired Forest Green Rovers keeper but still managed to claim a 2-0 victory. Spencer Bunce managed to find the net in the first half after some good individual skill in the Forest Green penalty area.

The second half was much the same as the first but Kieran Sutton doubled Croft's advantage with a good header at the far post.

Highworth Town Juniors H worked hard but ultimately went down 2-1 to Ferndale Rodbourne at the Rec. Bradley Poole pulled a goal back late in the game but the home side could not find an equaliser.

Under 10 Division 4

Six goals from Jack Langcaster helped Swindon Centurians take a huge step towards the league title with an 11-0 win over a well organised and spirited South Cerney Colts team. Sam Canniford, Mitch Dunn and two own goals completed the victory. Highworth Town Juniors J secured a great 5-3 away win at Lydiard Youth Black. James Whettam scored twice for Highworth with other goals coming from Owen Baker-Smith, Talli Demetrious and Drew Ellis.

Under 11 Division 1

roft took the lead with a well taken goal early on, but the visiting Robins equalised shortly after with Cameron Braganza-Osman tapping in from close range. The visitors then grabbed an impressive winner as Jordan Murray’s powerful shot hit the roof of the net from outside the box.

Shaw started their clash with Ferndale brightly and scored early with a strike from Jay Lewis, and although Ferndale kept their heads and battled well Shaw doubled their lead from a corner before Cameron Bond finished with a tremendous right-foot volley into the top of the net.

A strong second half from Highworth Town Juniors H saw them run out 5-0 winners against Swindon Supermarine. Leading 1-0 at half time through a Harvey Flippance goal, quick strikes after the break from Jack Payne, two more from Flippance to complete his hat-trick, and one from Dylan Boulton ensured Highworth picked up all three points.

Under 11 Division 2

Swindon Youth continued their good recent form with an 11-0 away win at Pewsey thanks to four goals from Tyler Oates. A brace for Jake Collis and one each from Charlie Trinder-Sage, Callum Hughes, Sam Davenport-Banks, Reuben Murkin-Mhyte and Ellis Wheeler sealed the points.

Under 11 Division 3

Highworth Town Juniors C pushed high-flying Robins JS very close with a fantastic performance but ultimately went down 1-0 to a second-half goal.

Under 11 Division 4

The seven-man Old Town United team fought bravely against a full strength Northern Lights side, but ultimately went down 3-0.

Under 12 Division 1

Swindon Rangers A won their top of the table clash with Chippenham thanks to two second half goals from Joe Tyson and Ethan Bond. Rangers keeper Harvey George put in a superb display, as three outstanding saves ensured his side remain top of the league.

Goals from Jamie Biles, Harvey Coster, Charlie McCuish and Daniel Farley, along with a well taken penalty from Coster, saw Swindon Rangers claim a 5-1 victory over FC Calne which moves them up to fourth in the table.

Ferndale claimed a 2-1 win against Croft Juniors Red in an entertaining game, as Ferndale gained a two-goal advantage through Bailey Gallagher and James Matthews and held on to take all three points.

Under 12 Division 2

A well contested game in freezing conditions saw both Patrik Braithwaite and Xavi Diaz-Butcher score hat-tricks for Stratton with the latter reaching 30 for the season. Shaw bagged a late but well deserved consolation.

Under 12 Division 3 Highworth Town returned to winning ways with a great team performance as Elliot Doughty scored his first hat-trick to lead his team to a 6-1 win over Wootton Bassett.

A Josh Haynes hat-trick, two for Neo Heath and one each for Sam Stokes, Ben Simons and Lewis Gardner steered Ferndale to an 8-1 win against a determined and spirited Brinkworth Cats Black.

Under 14 Division 1

Supermarine kept another clean sheet and ran out 5-0 winners with goals from Biagio Mazzotta, Bertram Clement, Louis O’Shea, Aston Gleed and Kyle Parker.

Under 14 Division 3

Despite only having nine men from the start, Highworth Town Juniors T put in a magnificent performance to win 2-1 away at Brinkworth Cats Red. Highworth led 1-0 at half-time with a goal from Ollie Mulraney, who added a second in the second period with a fantastic volley. Sevenfields United remain at the foot of Division 3 after going down 6-4 at home to Stratton Youth. Aaron Marvel grabbed a brace, one of which was direct from the corner, while Keelan Boyce and Connor Seymour both hit one each from range.

Under 15 Division 1

Brinkworth Cats took the lead in a highly competitive game through a Hugo Vivash strike, but Swindon Rangers Black took a half-time lead through two great strikes by Ben Holley. Cats didn't give up, and earned a point when Jake Covey out-jumped the Rangers keeper to head in to the net.

County Cup Under 13

Wootton Bassett Town Blue booked their place in the County Cup Final as goals from Ollie Sinclair and Kevin Opare-Darko saw them go 2-0 up in a very tight game with Wootton Bassett Town Yellow. Callum Bridges clawed one back for Yellow, but Blue held on to claim a deserved victory.
