Devizes police have appealed for information leading to the recovery of three paintball guns, two of which look identical to M16 rifles.
The guns, designed to fire paint-filled capsules for use in the outdoor sport, were taken from a house in Bath Road, some time over the weekend after a window was smashed to gain entry. Also taken was a Miltech Desert Storm pistol and other paintball equipment. The value of the items taken is £2,000.
Inspector Matt Armstrong, of Devizes police, said: “These guns cannot be converted to take live ammunition but we are concerned that these items might be offered for sale.
“If anyone does come across these guns, we would be very glad to hear about it.”
