Man on three rape charges
A 34-year-old man who is facing three charges of rape has been remanded in custody.
David Brierley is also accused of causing criminal damage to a telephone belonging to the Wiltshire constabulary. No charges were formally put to the defendant, of Culvery Court, Harding Street, and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
All four offences are alleged to have taken place on February 24 into the following day. The case was adjourned to May 24.
