A man who is accused of abducting a vulnerable 15-year-old youth has been remanded in custody by a judge.

David Dobson is also charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of the child.

Dobson, 63, of Popham Court, Wood Lane, Chippenham, is said to have committed the two offences on Thursday, February 21.

No charges were formally put to the defendant and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, May 24, and remanded him in custody until then.
