Melksham scarecrow trail to boost air ambulance

4:27pm Wednesday 20th March 2013

The Melksham Scarecrow Trail is set to return next week, with money raised from the competition going to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Some 20 town shops will have scarecrows inside, with prizes on offer to shoppers who can identify them all.

Simon Hedley, of CJ’s cafe in the Littlebrook Centre, organised the trail.

He said: “I wanted to keep it as local as possible and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance do a lot of stuff for people in the Melksham area.”

Entry forms cost £1 and are available from CJ’s, or other participating town stores, from Monday.

The deadline for submitting the completed forms is Wednesday, April 10.
