Marie Curie charity asks for hour of your help

Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing for volunteer collectors in Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon, as part of its Great Daffodil Appeal.

The national event is the cancer charity’s biggest fundraising drive of the year and the organisation is appealing for people to donate an hour to help with collections in the town centres on Saturday, March 30.

Collectors will be based at the Bradford Sainsbury’s story, and The Shires and ASDA in Trowbridge.

Lucy Stockall, community fundraiser for Marie Curie, in Wiltshire, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support from people who have volunteered for our Great Daffodil Appeal. However, we still have a few collections that we are struggling to fill.”

Collectors will welcome donations and encourage people to wear a daffodil pin to raise awareness of its work.

To volunteer, call 0117 9247275 or send an email to lucy.stockall@mariecurie.org.uk. More details at www.
