SWINDON’S very own Jahmene Douglas was back to doing what he does best yesterday as he performed with members of the London Community Gospel Choir.

The X Factor runner up, who is a big fan of gospel music, performed with the choir on the Southbank in central London to officially launch the London Community Gospel Choir 30 Choir Festival, celebrating their 30th anniversary.

Clearly delighted with how well the appearance had gone, Jahmene later took to Twitter to tell his army of followers that he had just performed with the choir outside the Royal Festival Hall, which will be the setting for their concert on May 5 which he will also be attending.

He tweeted: “Just sang with @LCGCtweets for their 30th anniversary outside royal festival hall. 5th of May concert will be there & so will I :-)”.

When Jahmene paid a visit to his home town during his time on X Factor, he made sure to stop off at the Bible Life Church in Gorse Hill to perform with his gospel choir. He performed a selection of gospel songs, and was then joined on stage by X Factor mentor Nicole Scherzinger.
