Firefighters removed brickwork to get at a fire in a chimney in Melksham.
Two engines, from the town and Trowbridge, and a pneumatic aerial appliance from Swindon were called to deal with the chimney fire in Canon Square on Sunday.
Chimney rods and water jets were used to extinguish the blaze, with bricks taken out of the roof to allow access.
