Wiltshire residents to get sneak preview of new Stonehenge centre

Wiltshire residents are being offered an exclusive opportunity to have a look behind the scenes of the new visitor centre at Stonehenge next month as part of Open Door Weekend 2013.
VINCI Construction UK, the main contractor working on the Stonehenge development, is participating in the event, which invites members of the public from all across the UK to go around a construction site in their area.
On September 27 and 28, VINCI Construction UK will open the doors of Stonehenge site so that people from Wiltshire can take a tour and learn more about the project.
The industry initiative is the result of a partnership of four leading industry bodies, UK Construction Group, CITB-ConstructionSkills, The Considerate Constructors Scheme and the Chartered Institute of Building.
Stephen Ratcliffe, director of UKCG, said: “Open Doors Weekend is a unique opportunity for the industry to display the complexity, excitement and scope of modern construction projects and give people a taste of what it’s really like to work in the industry.”
VINCI Construction UK is one of over 23 employers taking part in the Open Doors Weekend on 75 sites across England, Scotland and Wales.
