Melksham man admits benefit fraud

Melksham man John Parry has been ordered to repay more than £5,000 in false benefits after pleading guilty to benefit fraud.
The 66-year-old, who lives on Devonshire Place, admitted failing to declare his income to the Department for Work and Pensions at Chippenham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
He was overpaid a total of £5,087.29 in pension credit and council tax benefit, but will have to return the full amount, along with a £203 fine.
