Wiltshire walk carries domestic abuse message
Around 50 people took part in the Walk in White in Trowbridge yesterday to show solidarity against domestic abuse.
Maggie Rae, corporate director, Keith Humphries, cabinet member for public protection and public health, and Superintendent Matt Pullen from Wiltshire Police gave a presentation before the group walked around the town for 45 minutes, handing out leaflets and badges.
Claire Palmer both works for 4 Children and runs groups for women and children affected by domestic abuse. She said: “I like the slogan, No Excuse for Abuse, because often both victims and perpetrators will use excuses. You don’t have to put up with it.”
