Traffic delays as two are injured in M4 smash

COMMUTERS faced serious delays to their journey to work this morning following a serious crash on the motorway.
The incident occured near to the Membury services shortly after 5.30am. Thames Valley Police said the collision involved a lorry and two cars.
One woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries and another person was taken to the Great Western Hospital.
The eastbound carriageway was closed while a police investigation took place and the vehicles were recovered.
The road reopened by 8.45am but there were heavy traffic jams throughout Swindon during the morning rush hour, especially along the Great Western Way at junction 16, as well as the A419 and A420.
