ANTIQUE lovers in Corsham will be spoilt for choice this month, following the opening of a second second-hand store in the town.
Sharan Oakey, owner of Granny’s Attic on the High Street, has just opened The Curiosity Shop on Pickwick Road, which will specialise in smaller items collected from house clearances.
She said: “The new shop is much more for the smaller things like jewellery and collectibles rather than Granny’s Attic, which is more for furniture and bric-a-brac.”
Granny’s Attic will soon be appearing on the BBC’s Celebrity Antiques Roadshow.
Ms Oakey said: “They had Michaela Strachan down here about eight weeks ago, they really liked the shop, and bought some things which went on to auction.”
The new shop is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9.30am-3pm.
