TROWBRIDGE-based food company apetito celebrated the long service of 51 employees with a buffet lunch last month.
The firm held the event at its Trowbridge base, in Canal Road, and commemorated the staff who have worked in all sectors, from finance to packing, over the past 20 years.
Food at the celebration was prepared by Phil Rimmer, apetito’s head development chef, while Paul Freeston, the company’s chief executive, gave a speech praising his dedicated team.
Mr Freeston said: “apetito has achieved considerable success in the healthcare, care home and community meal sectors over the years, scooping awards and winning major contracts, and it is the hard work of our team that has made all of this possible.
“From the care taken crafting dishes in our kitchens to our drivers delivering meals in the community, we have a great team spirit and everyone knows the work they do makes a positive difference to the lives of many.”
Apetito provides meals to hospitals, healthcare providers and care homes across the country.
Mr Freeston said that the 51 staff members’ collective years working for apetito totalled 1,305.
The employees were given vouchers and extra leave time by the food firm as a gift for their hard work.
Jill Alexandrov, a sweets department supervisor who has worked for spetito for 25 years, said: “The celebration lunch was such a lovely event, not only as Paul Freeston expressed so much gratitude for the collective years of commitment we have all given apetito.
“It also provided the perfect opportunity to catch up with fellow workers from across the company who I hadn’t seen for years, and the food was, of course, absolutely delicious too.”
