Employees of DS Smith Packaging will be taking part in a charity bike ride on Sunday.
Six managing directors from the company started a 905-mile bike ride from their Livingston plant last Friday and will be cycling through Britain for 12 days, taking in several DS Smith sites, including Devizes, until finishing in Launceston, Cornwall.
On Sunday, staff from Devizes and Bristol will be cycling from Devizes to Bristol either on roads, the canal towpath or cycle paths to raise money for Bristol Children’s Hospital and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Steve Hinton, spokesman for DS Smith Packaging in Devizes and Bristol, said: “Many of us have had family and friends who have suffered from serious illness such as heart disease or cancer.
“We wanted to do something significant as a business to give back to others and demonstrate our commitment to being a caring and tenacious company.”
The national bike ride by the DS Smith directors is aiming to raise money for Heart Research UK and Cancer Research UK.
