A DRIVER escaped shocked but unhurt after her car smashed into a generator building in Albert Street yesterday afternoon.
The woman in her early 20’s who did not wish to be named, said her car brakes failed after she rounded the corner from Wood Street on to Albert Street.
She then collided with the generator building at the junction between Albert Street and Little London.
The woman, who escaped uninjured from the vehicle, said: “I don’t know what happened.
“I came around the corner and I saw the wall and I tried to swerve but the brakes didn’t work.
“I had time to think about jumping out of the car before I hit it.”
