Young Farmers across Wiltshire have had a fantastic year and raised more than £19,000 for charities, including £10,000 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance; £3,140 for the British Heart Foundation; £1,500 to Malmesbury Flood Appeal and £1,250 for Help for Heroes.
Devizes YFC organised a bop in a barn in June. They donated £1,100 to Marden Cricket Club, £1,000 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and £500 to WILSAR (Wiltshire Search & Rescue).
Forty members of Malmesbury YFC cycled 120 miles from Malmesbury to Weymouth in fancy dress and wet conditions, raising £3,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation in memory of 20-year-old Alan Whitcombe, one of their members, who died last year from an undetected heart condition.
