MEGHAN Larkin scored four as Spitfires Under 15s beat Carterton Town 10-0 in the Oxford Girls League.
Spits dominated the opening 10 minutes and made their advantage count when Poppy Cottrill set up Dani Granato for the opener.
Cottrill had an effort ruled out because of offside before Larkin rifled home a 30-yard free-kick.
Larkin then made it 3-0 just before half-time after latching onto a short pass from Abby Fuller The second half saw Carterton tire and Spits made it 4-0 as a result of a throughball from Amy Connaghan, which Granato slotted home.
Connaghan then set up Cottrill to make it 5-0 and Larkin made it six after a slick pass from Reynolds opened the Carterton defence.
Connaghan scored the seventh and then set up Cottrill for the eighth.
Larkin scored her fourth goal and Spits’ ninth before Kat Reynolds rounded off the scoring.
The club’s under 14s were held to a 0-0 draw by Kidlington in what was an entertaining game in which both sides missed penalties.
Five minutes into the second half Spitfires won a penalty only for the Kidlington keeper to save the spot kick and the rebound.
With 10 minutes to go Kidlington won a penalty of their own but this time it was Danielle Jones in the Spitfires goal who saved the spot kick to ensure a share of the points.
