BOXING: 'I was robbed'
NICK Blackwell says that he was 'robbed' of the WBA continental middleweight title as he suffered a controversial points defeat to Max Bursak in the Ukraine last weekend.
'Bang Bang' Blackwell, 22, was on the wrong end of a unanimous points decision, despite knocking current European champion Bursak down in the fourth round in Kharkiv on Saturday.
Two-time British title challenger Blackwell said: "I knew that I'd have to knock him out to get a decision out there. I know that I was robbed.
"I thought that I was going to get the draw. I never thought that they were going to give the win to him and when they did, I couldn't believe it.
"It's frustrating because you only had to look at his face afterwards and then looked at mine - I looked like I hadn't been hit because he barely caught me.
"Its tough but I'm only 22 and there's a lot more to come from me."
