Burmese view lands prize at Devizes club

The work of members of Devizes Camera Club was praised by judge Martin Fry.
The club’s biennial print exhibition features 95 prints by 25 members.
The exhibition, which was was officially opened by Devizes mayor Pete Smith, can be seen at the Wiltshire Museum, Long Street, until October 5 Mr Fry, of Cheltenham Camera Club, judged the entries and the best overall print was won by Martin Horton with his entry In an Azure Mood. It was taken at a market in Burma.
Mr Horton, of Stanton St Quintin, joined Devizes Camera Club last season after having been a member of Bath Photographic Society.
Jean Ingram won the prize for the best home-produced print with her entry Running on Water. She lives in Chippenham and her photo was taken at Chippenham Festival. She has been a member of Devizes Camera Club for seven years.
Mr Fry said: “I was amazed by the treatment of the subject, the composition and the quality of presentation in the exhibition.”
