Rowde village shop will be temporarily closed while work goes on inside to install new stairs to the loft.
Refurbishment will start on Monday and will take six to eight days, but the owner of Rowde Hall, a few yards away from the shop, has allowed a mobile building to be put on his premises for it to carry on trading.
Villagers Alan Watters and Anne Swan, together with Kennet Print, have helped sponsor the costs of the temporary accommodation.
Jan Barber, on behalf of the Rowde village shop committee, said: “We do hope everyone will come and see us in our new venue.”
