VETERINARY nurse Sarah Cannings did a parachute jump to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK in memory of her grandma.
Miss Cannings, 33, of Rowde, did the jump from 11,000 feet at Netheravon Airfield on Saturday. Her grandma, Joan Cannings of the Devizes area, had Alzheimer’s and died in 2010.
Miss Cannings said: “Both by grandmother and great grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s. A parachute jump was something I have always thought about doing and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.”
She has raised £380 towards her £500 goal. Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/sarah-elizabeth-cannings
