SWINDON Spitfires Under 17s grabbed their first victory of the season in emphatic style as they charged to a 17-0 win at Wantage.
The opening goal came in the third minute as Georgia Coward played out to Hayley Shipp on the right and her cross was fired home by Lisa Matthews.
Three minutes later Matthews played a Shipp cross back for Mya McKnight to finish, and the former then bagged the third after a break down the right by Sarah Uzzell.
Amy Matthews then got in on the act on 17 minutes and the back four of Kelsey Deacon, Freyja Stevens, Ellie Cook and Anna Higgins along with keeper Becky Kench were virtual spectators.
Stevens stabbed home after Coward played a short corner for Shipp to deliver into the danger area and then a long-range effort from Coward squirmed past the keeper.
Amy Matthews struck again before the break to see Spitfires turn around 7-0 to the good.
The onslaught continued after the break as Emma Broughton set up Shipp for her first and Shipp then added another within a minute after pouncing on a poor goal kick.
Uzzell then took Spits to 10-0 after latching on to a quick Coward throw-in and powering home.
Shipp made it 11 from a Coward free kick and just after the hour, Amy Matthews netted the rebound from a Broughton shot.
Lisa Matthews somehow hit the bar from a yard out but the loose ball was only cleared to Deacon who drilled into the net.
Shipp grabbed her fourth with a strike from the edge of the area and Amy Matthews completed her double hat-trick with two near-post finishes in the closing minutes.
Spitfires Under 15s also recorded a huge victory as they racked up a 20-0 triumph over Kingham All Blacks.
Among those scoring in the rout were Dani Granato, Kat Reynolds, Natasha Larkin, Serenn Sanghera, Chiarna Deller, Chloe Mason, Amy Connaghan, Poppy Cottrill and Katie Dellow.
Spitfires Under 12s were 5-0 winners at Tower Hill, with Aimee Prinzi (2) and Rebecca Chitolie (3) netting.
The under 13s edged a close top-of-the-table clash with Melksham 1-0 thanks to a Grace Bridger strike.
Helena Butcher and Poppy Cottrill found the net as the under 14s beat Didcot Casuals 2-0 in a friendly.
The under 12s development team lost out 2-0 at Westbury with keeper Ebony Preedy playing a starring role.
