RESIDENTS in the town centre have an opportunity to discuss issues such as planning for school places, crime and residents’ parking zone reviews at a meeting today.
The meeting will include an update on plans for a new town centre primary school.
The event, in the community hall at Drove School, Southampton Street, opens at 6.30pm with the meeting starting at 7pm.
It is one of a series of Swindon Borough Council central locality meetings for residents of the Central and Eastcott wards.
Coun Dave Wood, chairman of the central locality, said: “This is a great opportunity for residents to meet all their local councillors and have a real say in what happens where they live. There will also be representatives there from the police and council departments.
“Some of the issues are clearly of great interest to many people, but we’re happy for any issue to be raised. We want to know what concerns people and their ideas to make their neighbourhood better.”
