Students at Wiltshire College Trowbridge put their skills to the test for a pamper day to raise money for two charities.

Hairdressing students offered cuts and colour and Moroccan oil treatments, while catering students served two-course lunches, afternoon tea and mulled wine and mince pies, together raising £970 for Chernobyl Children’s Life Line’s West Wiltshire Link group.

Beauty students offered facials, back massages and skin analysis to raise £270 for Dorothy House Hospice.

Steve Lloyd, programme leader for catering and chairman of the West Wiltshire Link, said: “Catering and hairdressing students have a unit where they have to plan an event, so this was able to form part of their curriculum this year.”
