SWINDON Council has announced the Recycling Centre has reopened today following a closure yesterday.
The centre, in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, was forced to close for the day due to loe lying smoke from the fire which broke out at Swindon Skips last Wednesday.
The fire was fuelled by 750 tonnes of building and timber recycling material but, once it had been contained to one part of the site, it was allowed to burn out itself.
For opening hours for the centre, visit www.swindon.gov.uk.
