People in Marlborough can have a say on how £2,225 of Tesco funding gets divided between five local charities.

Friends of St Peter’s Junior School, Friends of St Mary’s, Kennet Community Transport, The Jubilee Centre and East Wilts Mencap were all nominated by members of the public for the Tesco funding and will all get a share of the £2,225.

Tesco community champion Chris Woodwood said: “All Tesco stores get a pot of money that we can donate to a charity of a choice and because we’re a new store and there’s a new manager we thought we’d let the community decide where they’d like to see the money go.”

How much each charity gets will depend on how many votes they receive.

To vote for one of the charities search for Tesco Superstore Marlborough on Google+ Voting closes on December 10.
