PARENTS can take advantage of a children’s camp in the Christmas holidays.

The Hi5 camp is available at Swindon Council’s Haydon Centre in Thames Avenue, Haydon Wick, on December 23, January 2 and 3.

The camp provides activities for children of primary school age and covers all aspects of a child’s development and well-being including their emotional and social needs.

Hi5 is registered with Ofsted and the holiday camp encompasses the criteria laid down in their guidelines. All staff have undergone in-house training courses on child protection and welfare and staff have also been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to work with children.

The activities on offer to children, which vary from day to day, include team and ball games like football, short tennis, basketball, trampolining, bouncy castle, quizzes, electronic games, music and dance and arts and craft.

The camp runs from 9.30am-4.30pm although an early start is available from 8.15am and a late finish until 5.45pm.
