THE public will decide how much of a £500 giveaway Chippenham’s Doorway project will receive this Christmas.

The Hills Group, which manages and recycles waste, is making the donation instead of sending Christmas cards to its customers.

Its three charities are Doorway, the homeless drop-in centre, CALM, which supports children with cancer and leukaemia, and Fairfield Farm College, a specialist college in Westbury offering day and residential courses for young people with learning difficulties.

The charity which receives the most votes will get £300 and the remaining two will each receive £100.

Mike Hill, chief executive of the Hills Group, said: “We hope that this donation will enable the deserving causes to continue their excellent work.”

Votes can be cast by going to the Hills Group Facebook page and results will be announced in January.
