SUNDAY LEAGUE: AFC Gas maintain their hot streak
AFC Gas continue to set the pace in Division One after seeing off Fox & Hounds 5-3, but were given a helping hand by their visitors who scored two own goals.
Matt Bissett, Ash Taylor and Dan Kelderry also found the net for Gas while the Fox goals came courtesy of Aaron Stevens, Steven May and Shannon Pocock.
The Dolphin are still pressing AFC Gas extremely hard and stay in second place after they demolished bottom of the table Penhill United 8-0. Nathan Blackford helped himself to a hat-trick, Lee Toomey got a brace with Dan Drewitt, Paul Blackford and an own goal made up the eight.
The final game in the division was a goalfest in which Wheatsheaf overcame Inter Sandgate 8-6. Richie Crocker and Mark King scored two apiece with Martin Hall and Rob Stewart also notching for Sandgate.
West Swindon Wanderers tasted defeat for the first time this season in Division Two as they were edged out 4-2 by The Running Horse. Josh Fowler, Dan Kingsley and two from Dave Coleman did the damage with Matt Morris and Alex Sherriff replying for the league leaders. Pete Myall continued his recent goalscoring form with another two in Wanborough’s 4-1 win over Dynamo Ashton, Tony Law and Dan Mastalerz also scored with the consolation coming from Jamie Roberts. Deers Leap won 5-1 at bottom of the table AFC Tap and Barrel, Nathan Gambling and Roger Mundy with two each while Adam Jack scored for the Leap with Darren Chinchilla scoring for Tap.
Walcot beat Rodbourne Real in the only game in Division Three, while the solitary game in Division Four saw Chiseldon Sunday win 2-0 at Toothill Revolution thanks to goals from Matthew Aubrey and Tom Davis penalty.
DBS maintained top spot in Division Five after a comfortable 5-0 win at AFC Greendown. Ryan Keech scored a brace and single strikes from Jamie Williams, John Ferry and Dave Gibbons saw them home. DPR remain eight points behind in second place but do have two games in hand on DBS following their 3-1 win at Rosier Rovers.
Mike Wilkins scored his first goal for Rosier but this was never going to be enough to trouble DPR.
AFC Swindon Utd were convincing 7-1 winners at Nationwide FC, with Andy Goodchild netting the consolation.
Division Six is proving to be the most competitive league going with any of the top six still in contention.
Bounce Squad stay top following a 7-1 win over Cricklade Park Rangers.
Coleshill Youth stay second after a 4-0 success over AFC Royal with the goals being shared between Josh Bolger, Rob Lock, Aiden Cressey and Liam Anbany.
Marlborough Town Casuals thrashed Cricklade MTA 6-2 with Craig Simmonds netting a hat-trick and Ash Holt, Simon Neale and Michael Robinson also on the score sheet.
AFC Freshbrook needed a last-gasp winner from Steve Scargill as they took the three points with a 2-1 win over CM Automotive with Mick Newman also on target.
Meanwhile Swindon Athletic and Save on Tyres drew 1-1 with Tom Holding scoring for Athletic and Joe Cosway for Tyres.
