FARINGDON Town edged further away from the Division One drop zone with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Harwell International.
The victory pulled the Oxfordshire eight points clear of their opponents, who sit third from bottom, and came courtesy of goals from Derren Harrington, Liam Humphries, Paul Hulme, Robbie Harrington and Mike van der Mortel. Gareth Fenton hit the consolation for Harwell.
Faringdon Town A went down 2-0 to Benson AFC in Division Four, with James Oliver and Ryan Harrhy scoring the goals, but there was better news for the club’s reserve team as they beat Drayton Reserves 3-0 to progress to the semi-finals of the Nairne Paul Trophy. Liam Ridley scored twice while Chris Benson also found the net to secure the victory.
