Staff at a Melksham pub are flushed with success, after their toilets scooped a second award in less than two years.
The Bear on Bath Road has been named winner of the England Pub Loo of the Year Awards, after impressing a panel of inspectors.
The Wetherspoons bar, which won a platinum award last year, was only opened 18 months ago, and was praised for its decor, cleanliness and overall management.
Manager Matthew Humphries, 40, said: “It’s a great feeling to know that we have the best pub toilets in England.
“People do judge a pub by the state of the toilets, so we spend a lot of time on their maintenance.”
