BATH Cats and Dogs Home is launching a new series of educational workshops in schools, youth groups and clubs across the South West in the new year.
The charity believes it is vital to reach out to the younger generation and teach them the importance of responsible animal ownership and inspire the next generation of animal lovers.
Following a recent talk at Oakfield School in Frome, the home is aiming to continue its educational programme in more schools across Wiltshire.
Events and community officer Zena Jones said: “This year so far we have organised 22 school visits and spoken to over 1,000 local school children.
“We can also support schools with fundraising activities which in turn teach students about the value of money and the importance of giving something back.”
