THE Salzgitter-Swindon Twinning Association is calling for more members to help support Swindon’s ties with other parts of the world.
Membership is open to everyone living in and around Swindon who wants to help further the relationship between Swindon and Salzgitter by developing the knowledge, culture, education, industrial and political interests between the towns.
Every other year, one or other town hosts a visit, and people stay in members’ homes, who help meet their costs during their stay.
The fee for joining the association is £10 a year.
Salzgitter and the twinning association will feature on Community Radio Swindon 105.5’s Wonderful World Show from 11am to noon on January 6 and from 9am to 10am on January 12.
To find out how you can get involved with the association, contact chairman Roger Gower on 01793 737129 or email rogergower01@talktalk.net.
You can also visit the website, which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/cd/ cd-twintowns/Pages/cd-twintowns-saltzgitter.aspx.
