Wooden flower planters have been installed at Westbury Train Station to brighten up the platform, following on from the launch of the TransWilts service.
The planters were the idea of Southwick councillor Horace Prickett, who is part of the West Wilts Rail Users Group and The Heart of Wessex Rail Partnership, which is part funded by Wiltshire Council and First Great Western. Hills Group supplied the compost for the planters.
Cllr Prickett, who made the planters, said: “We decided we needed to do something to smarten up Westbury Station, as there were old flower pots and planters that had been there for years.”
Westbury Station manager Nicholas Reid said: “It’s a fantastic improvement.”
