WESTLECOT men return to action in the east section of the Wessex League tomorrow when they meet Rivermead (Reading) .

They have not played for two months since beating Oxford City and County 106-69 and 14-2 on November 3 owing to their turn to sit out a round in the nine-strong league and the staging of the Westlecot Open Singles Tournament on two weekends in December.

Westlecot have therefore only played three matches and lie fifth in the East Region table, 25 points adrift of surprise leaders Loddon Vale (Basingstoke) but they have a match in hand on all the teams above them.

They will need to win at least three of their remaining four matches in the next seven weeks to give themselves a chance of making the end of season play-offs as an east region top two automatic qualifier or a best third placed wild card entrant .
